Physical brochures in a digital world
How we made an impression and stood out among 50+ startups at an investor event
"So, what do you do?" 🧐
We get asked this question often and, regardless of our designation, we usually fumble trying to be brief yet impactful. A few days ago, our investor (Blume Ventures) organised a terrific "speed dating" event between their portfolio companies and VCs. Rocketium had to stand out among 50+ stellar companies so we came up with an interesting idea - an interactive brochure. 📖
The cover had a couple of lines about us, the inner pages delved into our two product areas, and the last page had our metrics ($ revenue, $ raised, # customers). The GIF below shows the section that covers how our tech helps e-commerce companies improve app conversion with visuals. We expected investors to find this interesting but were pleasantly surprised that they LOVED it.
Our observations:-
the vibrant colours and attractive design caught their attention and invited them to jump in 🏞
the unique interactive section made them want to touch and discover on their own 🤏
they felt the brochure was a personalized gift and asked if they could keep it 🎁
In today's digital world, we sometimes forget that simple physical things can be very powerful especially if you are among the few doing it. I hope our experience encourages you to use every tool at your disposal.
